Nucleons, the fundamental building blocks of nuclei, account for 99% of the mass in the visible universe. Despite over a century of exploration, our understanding of their nature remains incomplete, particularly concerning the origins of nucleon mass and spin, as well as the phenomenon of parton saturation. The upcoming Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) is set to be a groundbreaking facility, uniquely suited to address these fundamental questions. In this talk, I will discuss key aspects of my research, which centers on the applications of QCD factorization to explore nucleonic and nuclear structures and properties at the EIC. Highlights include nucleon tomography through target fragmentation, gravitational form factors and their probes, and parton saturation explored through lepton-jet correlations. I will conclude with a brief overview of my future research proposals.
